I took Liv to her first day of pre-school on tuesday. When did she get old enough for school? As I walked into the parking lot after taking her to her classroom (where she walked away from me without a hug or a glance back at me:) I saw a mother standing by her car crying. Not just a few tears crying, like really crying, hard! Really?, I thought. It's not that big of a deal. As I drove away I wondered why in the world this mom would be so upset. Then it hit me. From here on out for the rest of her life, she will be gone from me most of the day. Staying at home with me is now a thing of the past. Granted she only goes 2 days a week this year, but next is kindergarten, and then it's all day until she graduates! How did this creep up on me? I am so excited for her and all she will experience, but I am also scared. I no longer have control over what she is exposed to during the day. Maybe this is why that mom was crying. Let it be known I was not crying after dropping her off, but, I was sympathetic with this mom. Our kids grow up and there is nothing we can do,( no matter how hard we try, )to slow it down. So, onward and upward. I am so proud Liv is so excited to learn and that she isn't afraid to try new things. She is such a smarty and I can't wait to see how fast she learns and grows.
p.s. that same mom was in tears when she went to pick up her child also. SHEESH LADY!

So cute! Can't believe how big she's getting!
There were so many mom's crying when I dropped Megan off for 1st grade that I thought there might be something wrong with me because I wasn't crying
, but then I remembered I'm a Spjute and we don't have tear ducts. :)
I would have to agree with you, it is sad to drop them off, but it is also good too. Especially when they go and they want to and are excited about it! Both my kids went this year and I actually enjoy the time I get to spend with Cache alone, it's nice to get to just love on him without any interuptions:) I also wanted to ask where you got your baby sling?
I remember when Wendy first took Robert to Kindergarten. She saw the teacher (a guy) with lots of big hear afroed out. She said he looked like a hippe and she was so worried. Turns out he was the best kindergarten teacher around.
Liv is SO blonde! Johnny said it looks like she has eucerin on her eyebrows. Cute pictures.
Love the sassy pose and the super cute hair. I tell my boys to "Stop Growing!" about a hundred times a day. It doesn't work.
Ah, Liv. What a babe!
