TOO MUCH TRAUMA!!!

This has been a bad month for Liv and I will be glad when it is over!!! 2 weeks ago (on a Tuesday) we were at the park for no longer that 5 minutes when she fell at the top of the playground and smacked her chin on a bar. We headed to the ER because Wayne was at work that night and wasn't sure he wanted to stitch it up without seeing it. She is one tough cookie! Getting her numbed was horrible and I hope I never have to witness that again. After she was numbed she was brave and got 3 stitches. Dad pulled them out 5 days later (Sunday) and she was good as new.
Saturday We were watching Curtis and had just got home from getting happy meals (Curtis' love for french fries is something I have never encountered before:) Liv ran into the house with her bag and I was still helping the boys get their stuff. Wayne was somewhere in the house. All of a sudden I heard screaming. "Great" I thought. Then she really started screaming, so I go running in and see Wayne holding her, blood in her mouth and 2 front teeth NOT WHERE THEY SHOULD BE! I gasp and yell what happened! Needless to say, that didn't help. Wayne lays her down and starts checking her out. After a few minutes she is still crying really hard so I ask her if she is scared or still really hurts. She says her lip hurts. I look and see a little blood on the outside of her lip. I wipe it away, but it bleeds again. Sweet merciful I exclaim to Wayne, her teeth went through her lip! I can't handle it. I walk away because I am about to start bawling because I can't see her in anymore pain. I pull myself together and call grandpa Mortensen to come help Wayne give her a blessing. Wayne puts her teeth back into place and we get her cleaned up. After a hefty dose of tylenol she falls asleep on Wayne's lap. 20 minutes later she wakes up and says I feel better, can I play mario cart? Kids. Sunday we headed over to the office so Wayne could bond her teeth together. (They had moved a little out of position again in the night) Gavin helped take x-rays and much to our disappoint we find out that she fractured a root. BLAST! That means it needs to be pulled. Hopefully the other one hangs on and heals up. Wayne didn't pull it because he wanted to have a Pediatric Dentist have a look at her radiographs. I am praying for a miracle. Alas, if he has to pull it out she will still be a beauty queen and will have to be a jacko-lantern for halloween. It might also be noted that I assisted Wayne in the office. Aunt LuAnn would be proud. I held instruments and used the blue light thingy to bond her glue. I told Wayne, "wow, thats really bright!" "your not supposed to stare at it", he informs we. Woops. I will also admit that I very nearly passed out. I'm not sure why, but you'll love what Wayne said when I told him things were getting blury. (I was on the high stool) And I quote " Go sit on the floor so if you pass out you don't have far to fall!" What the?!
Anyway, Liv is doing great and is very good at being careful. Her lip bothers her but Tylenol does the job.
Don't tell me that accidents come in three's either! I told Wayne if anything else happens it better be to me(but not including the baby) or him ( but just not his fingers) Pray for our safety. I feel like the cosmos are out to get us!
p.s. I am debating putting pictures up because it still hurts me to think about what happened and I don't know if I can bare to look at it everytime I get on here. So instead, here is a beautiful picture of Liv with all her healthy teeth.

well, today on her bike she was going around a corner too fast and didn't break so she started to bail out and ran herself into a street sign so i am counting that as the third so we are DONE! she is fine just a little bruise on her tummy

Wow. Poor Liv. I'm totally laughing at sherstine-the-dental-assitant. Good thing you're just a temp or you'd be fired.
