Here are some pictures of the ice storm that hit a couple days ago. Now that I know our cars are safe and we didn't lose power I can say that it is breathtaking. The pictures don't do it justice. We have had lot's of fun out in the snow, especially because Wayne hasn't had school for the last 2 days.Last night at least twice an hour I would wake up to the most eerie noises. All the trees had been completely covered by ice and when the wind would blow it would creak. Then I would hear a big crack and an even bigger crunch when the part of the tree that had broken off hit the frozen snow covered ground. The outside of our apartment looked just like it did when we got hit with the leftovers of hurricane Ike, just frozen. Luckily our power didn't go out and our cars didn't get smashed. A lot of our friends weren't so lucky. Liv loved running around in and eating the snow. Gavin was a true boy and loved to break icicles and watch daddy throw big chunks of ice from off of our car onto the road.
wow. it's good to hear you didn't have any power outages or damaged vehicles. looks like the kids had fun playing in the snow though. they are so stinkin' cute! i especially love liv's pink coveralls complete of course with pink sweater, hat and coat. so cute!
wow, I thought we got a lot of ice and snow in Alaska! I charge 15 for one of the aprons I have posted, $20 if I have to go out and buy the fabric and $10 if someone wants to pick their fabric and send it to me. Let me know if you want any! Thanks for the comment!
Awesome! And by the way, everyone was barfing because I got the flu from Sam and then passed it to Johnny, Erika, and Perry. It didn't last long, so that was nice, but it was aweful! We were suprised that none of you guys got it, since we were with you so much that week.
So fun! I love the snow too, as long as we are safe, our car is safe and we have power (which we have all 3). Your kids are adorable! Isn't it nice to have your husband home with you for a couple of days! And now another one.
Wow! It looks cold there but you look like your having a blast! Hey were going to go private soon and I'd like to invite you guys so could you please leave an email address in a comment so we could get on,thanks!
Oh my gosh! I remember the ice storms in Pennsylvania while I was serving my mission. It truly was breathtaking to see! There is a lot of crazy stuff that goes along with it (no power, can't drive or walk because everything is too icy, trees falling down everywhere, etc.) but it is beautiful - especially when the sun shines through the ice. Then it is magical!
Wow---I can say that you guys have definitely seen some things that I never have, and some that I' sure I never want to. Fun adventures! Glad you guys made it through everything alright.
