After we taught Liv that you don't pick them up off the ground but off the tree we decided to see what Gavin thought of the fresh fruit...anyone that knows Gavin knows how important food is to this kid, he couldn't get enough! He was so cute with juice running down his chin.
After we'd had our fill of peaches we caught the wagon back so we could get on another wagon and head over to the berry patch. Gavin loved these berries even more than the peaches! When we pulled up to the blackberries I saw red ones, so I asked our driver if the red color meant they weren't ripe. He said "yep, you wouldn't want to bite into one of those!" So what does Wayne do as soon as he drives away? You guessed it! What a nerd.
We ended the day with a picnic lunch by the pond and Liv fed her leftovers to the swans, coy and turtle that were all swimming together. This is definitely one place I'm going to miss when we move!
On our way out to the orchards
This is Gavin's happy face
This is Gavin's "tough guy" face
MMMMMM....smells so good!
All the blackberries were this big! I couldn't believe it

wow - that looks like a cool peach orchard. Did you get to pick your own peaches or were they already picked for you? You crazy fruity kids!

I've got an amazing blackberry pie recipe if you have any berries left! It's on my recipe blog. YUm. Looks like you had fun. Gav is so cute with juice on his face.
I love Gavin's happy face! How fun to have something like that so close. I'm sure we've got something like that around here I've just never looked! I will now, before it gets to late.
I can just imagine Gavin with juice running down his chubby face. How cute!
Looks like a good time, and yum on those blackberries!
