Liv just turned 4 about 2 weeks ago, so she still has 2 years before kindergarden. Should I have started her in pre-school this year? Can I still? Should I wait?
She knows all her colors and can count to 100. She writes her name and Gavins. She knows how to write all the letters and can identify about 75% of them. She also knows what sounds they make.
So, what do I do? Help!

Sounds like you are doing aGREAT job teaching! so in MY opinion, unless you want her to get the "social" aspect of preschool, They probably won't teach her anything she isn't already learning from you! Keep up the good work!
Ps... Miss your guts!
Interesting that you ask this because I was just thinking about Elle and she will be in a similar situation. After working at a preschool here is my advice....you have to decide what sort of preschool experience you are interested in. Many schools have an emphasis on social development, while others are academic. Deciding what is important for you would determine if preschool this year would be beneficial. Maybe assess if you think Liv is social at primary or at playgroups. Good luck. Let me know how it goes because we will have to make the decision with Elle in a few years.
Ok let's look at this from another point of view. A few hours a day for you with only one kid. Enough said in my opinion.
Livia is just like Cassidy. She will be the oldest in her grade. Cassidy is on her third year of pre-school right now. She just loves it. She loves the social aspect of it, but learns new things that I would not have thought to teach. If you have the funds, I would send her. She may not need the academics, but it will give her a whole new perpective on the world.
Sounds like Trenton. Which for him, pre-k was just a break to hang out with friends. It was good to help him get used to "school" but I'm not sure that he learned a whole lot.
Yes, if you have any pics of Kate I would love to have them! thanks!
