Wayne and I started this tradition by necessity right after we got married. The summer after we got married Boise had 17 days of 100 degrees or higher! So we pulled a mattress out into our living room where our little air conditioner was. When we moved to Utah we did it for fun. We would rent a movie, play games and eat treats. When we had Liv Wayne insisted on carrying on the tradition. I think we did this with her before she was even 1. Wayne wanted Gavin to sleep with us but I had to lay down the law because I knew he wouldn't sleep well. So I let Liv and Gavin have a little mattress fun with daddy before Gavin had to go to his bed. Then we ate cinnamin popcorn from the popcorn station and watched this:

so fun! i love it! and it sounds all too familiar...except we had to put our matress on the kitchen floor of one of our apartments in utah since that's where our AC unit was. funny!

I love that movie ... Michael and I watched it for family night a few weeks back with Madi. It was really a good movie. I never thought about the slumber party part ... we might have to try that when Madi gets older. Sounds like lots of fun.
