We felt so posh walking around everyone and there big hats, I think the favorite color this year was pink and yellow. The look for the guys was striped linen suites,(very attractive!!!) sweet shades and a cigar. I want to do this every year, we are pretty much planning our trip for next year!
Here I am watching the races
Brianna knew what she was doing when it came to betting. She had tabs on her program and hiliters so everything was color coordinated. All the people around us were pretty impressed with her skills. It payed off, she won some good money! Here she is researching for her next bet.

Very cool and I love your hats!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH, that is my dream!!! I am such a horse girl, I am so happy you guys went!!! and Yes I do love your hats, good job Briana for making yours too! So did you get to see the horse go lame then put down? That just makes me feel so aweful for that poor thing.
How fun!! I have always wanted to dress up and wear an over-the-top hat to a horse race. Sounds like you two had fun, it looks like it was a beautiful day too.
Hi Sherstine! Kris Bates here...my best friend from college was a "Kentucky Woman" and I visited her in Louisville...her family always went to the Derby and she and I always celebrated Derby Day at school when she couldn't make it home for the weekend! What an experience for you! I tried to leave you a comment on Jake's mission call but something was wrong with the website and it got lost or something! I called your mom right away (after I read your blog) to tell her how EXCITED we are! That was Jay's mission! OK, this isn't email, so I'll stop!
I love to catch up on your cute little family!
I'm pretty sure that sounds like the coolest thing ever! Love the hats! I really do need to come visit. :)

It looks like you had so much fun at the Derby! Lucky! I love the hats. I want to go to the Derby! Are you up for a game night soon?
